Grace

Grace

By: Susan Schiller

Face-to-face with a mystery of a grace so incomprehensible, I stood in front of this larger-than-life size poster of the image of Christ on the Shroud of Turin for what seemed like hours. His face. The face of grace and mercy. His eyes of love.

It was a 3D holographic image taken from the Shroud of Turin, using high tech scientific instruments. Whether the science behind it is fact or fiction, it didn't matter at that moment. It was a Truth Encounter just two-feet from my own eyes.

Grace and mercy. A love poured out for me. A love so passionate that He was willing to leave all of the glory in heaven to be born in a stable, raised in a poor home, uneducated yet able to speak with the voice of authority and wisdom.

Grace for the oppressed. Grace for the sinners. Grace for the tax collector.

So I stood in front of the 3D hologram of the image of Christ and my heart melted with His love and mercy and grace. Real grace. Real love.

Let the real Christ be exemplified in my life. Let me be willing to demonstrate such grace and mercy.

The world has enough victims. Let's see more champions of real grace!

Grace and mercy,

Sue

Susan Schiller knows how it feels to lose everything: marriage and family, church and reputation, finances and businesses, and more. Susan's upcoming, interactive memoir, "On the Way Home," tells the story of how she came to be known as "the most abused woman" her counselors had yet met and how she learned to navigate her way out of hell to a rich and satisfying life. In her lifetime, Susan has served in duties ranging from home school mom – to pastor –  to full-time deliverance minister – and to Midwest regional prayer coordinator for a large international ministry. These days you can usually find Susan soaking in her favorite hot springs pool, reading a book (or several), blogging, baking bread, or hanging out with her family and friends.
