A Simple Antidote for Evil

A Whisper in the Darkness Becomes A Ray of Hope

By: Susan Deborah Schiller

There are no words to describe the spiritual rape and slow death of a soul in the onslaught of sociopathic abuse. Among fellow survivors we find empathy and compassion, but few solid answers.

An encounter with true evil means you will never be the same. It's not a natural grief. There are no funerals, cards, or gifts. Even if you are free from the evil, the effect on your soul leaves lasting marks.

You may not be able to trust again. Ever. Not many understand the constant soul torment of a victim of pure evil. If one were to fully describe the torment, they might be placed in a hospital for the mentally ill. Sociopaths are experts at crazy-making, and if you remain on their turf for long your mind will suffer and it won't be your fault unless you stay.

Humans are not designed to tolerate evil!

Those are the phone calls, emails, and letters of victims I speak with. They know barely anyone out there truly understands.

I don't, either. Evil is not rational. It cannot be fully understood medically, psychologically, or relationally. Spiritually, yes…. and I believe that is the best way.

Only Love overcomes evil. True love wins.

Jesus gave us only two commands: To love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. And then to walk out that Love in your daily life, among ordinary broken humans who hurt and destroy each other, by laying down our lives for our friends. He used the Good Samaritan as an example of how that works out on a daily basis.

At the cross Jesus showed us the full picture of Love. Love is always crucified. That's the only known antidote for evil.

I believe God gave us simple truth so that we could find a simple antidote for evil. A one-size-fits-all solution for the incredibly complex problem of pure evil, and what Jesus did on the Cross is our picture of what it takes.

Am I ready and willing to pick up my cross TODAY – not in theory, but in practice – and allow Jesus to embody me? What does that look like? What does Jesus being present, in my body, mean in the 21st century?

For me it means laying down my ministry, my business, my job to travel across country to be with a victim of multiple sociopaths in order to rescue her little girl. I know the enemy reads my blog, and so I wrote about the Lion of Judah, who is the world's first superhero. And this Lion is inside of me. I have His face and the terror has already begun.

They think I am tired and will just give up and go away. They would be mistaken. No way. I have the antidote for true evil. I used it on myself and I am a carrier of that which once made me fully broken but today I am fully alive.

I want to walk in this Love. I want to see, hear, speak, touch, and obey like Jesus did. I want it all. I will give my all for this one purpose: to know this Love in action.
