What Would You Do if You Had No Barriers?

The most 'impossible' challenges require dropping down to a child's level, for that's the only way to understand Kingdom solutions. I've found the best way to be childlike is to hang around children and do kid-stuff together.
This past month my granddaughter and I have been reading "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeleine L'Engle. Twelve-year old Meg Murry is facing the impossible task of rescuing her father, a scientist, who works for NASA and has been captured by an enemy force on a distant planet.
Against impossible odds, Meg confronts IT – the source of all chaos, control, and conformity. She is able to blaze through every barrier until she finally arrives in the core of the darkness. She could see her dad imprisoned behind a transparent wall with no door, window, or visible access to his cell and she has no clue how to get him out!
The tension is palpable as Meg's brain races to figure out a plan. Then she remembers the eye glasses Mrs. Whatsit gave her to use only at the moment of greatest peril when all seemed hopeless. Putting on the spectacles, Meg's eyes no longer see a barrier. Her vision now zooms to the molecular level where the movement of electrons is visible and she witnesses atoms parting. She remembers that nothing is actually solid. Even walls, floors, and furniture are made of electrons, which are always moving. As she observes this 'potential' the atoms obey her wishes and create a door. She walks through and jumps into her father's arms!
Quantum physicist, David Van Koevering calls this taking a "quantum leap" or "popping a qwiff". This is something God is calling me to study, so I appreciate Madeleine L'Engle's wisdom, which says if a subject matter is too difficult, write for children. True enough!
You see, Meg recalled her father teaching her that all is energy and there is actually very little solid matter in the universe. Therefore, all you have to do is move the energy and the matter changes shape. Jesus must have known this principle when he taught Peter how to be a wave walker!
When you see beyond your circumstances, the circumstances change from "solid" to a moving, changing "potential" which can be shaped. What we see and hear is largely based on our perception and our ability to observe the potential beyond our circumstances. It can be changed, therefore.

What if you could fly high above your current reality… and what if you had special vision, like Meg had, that allowed you to see no barriers. What would you WANT to see?
This is where the "instead of" exercise in "What Was Stolen from You?" comes in handy. This is where we get some wave-walking practice in. We begin to change our circumstances instead of being blown about by every wind that comes along. We know longer have a double mind, but we are focused on our destination.
5But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. 7For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. – 1st chapter of James – Biblehub.com
Some questions to ponder, as you write to freedom this week ….
- Where do you want to be? In one year? In five years?
- Has God promised you or given you a vision of this destination? What do you see yourself doing?
- Have you flown up above those circumstances high enough to see your destination?
- What word is God calling you to decree into this vision?
- What obstacle needs to be removed? For me, the mountain in my path was ME. Yikes!
- How will your identity change or be restored in this vision?
- What gifts from your inheritance do you need? Would you like a gift of faith that will allow you to come up from behind and regain what you lost?
- In short, what do you want?
Writing Prompt: Take these questions one-by-one and ponder them this week. Write even if you don't feel like you have anything to say. Just write. Put your pencil to the paper and write the question. Then another word, and another.
