Tell Your Story, Color Your World

Tell your story, color your world.

We all want to change the world, but we feel powerless against so much evil. I want to propose we change our perspective.

This world is currently run by sociopaths, people who only care about their own agenda. If Jesus is your friend, it's only a matter of time before the same evil that stalked him will lock its jaws on your flesh.

The world is a dangerous place, but only if we look on as victims instead of rising up as warriors. It's time for change.

Once a sociopath invades your most intimate space: your home, your marriage and family, you will never be the same again. You're stripped. You're beaten. You're killed... But then there's the resurrection. A metamorphosis takes place. You learn to fly.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. ~ Isaiah 40:31

Time to fly. We are changing this story, you and I. We have an inheritance to claim! It's time to leave the victim mentality behind and put on the full armor of God. Take heart; this is the launching pad to the most incredible life you have yet to live. It's time to claim your inheritance on this planet. It's time to rise up.

What Satan intends for evil, God is already turning around for YOUR good.

Christ Jesus is our role model and example. Isaiah 53 says our Messiah was marred beyond recognition. He was tortured, abandoned, and betrayed. An innocent man who had done no wrong was killed. His mutilated body buried in a tomb. He told us that His friends would all experience the same, in this world.

It's dangerous ground, this world. BUT, you are even more well armed and dangerous, if only you knew.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. ~ Ephesians 6:10-17

How do you survive a narissistic spouse, a predator in the pulpit, an exploitive employer? Do you fight? Do you resist? Do you expose? Do you turn the other cheek? Walk the extra mile? It's hard to know what to do from your position down the ground, bleeding. First thing: you get up.

You tell your story.

In telling your story you become a living, breathing Gospel that crosses all language and cultural barriers. Your neighbor is reading your Gospel today as you share the Good News that NOTHING can separate you from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus. Nothing. You tell your story because YOU are the first person who needs to hear the truth. The truth sets you free to unlock prison doors for others.

Christ, in you, has an inheritance IN THIS WORLD for YOU! We are bringing justice and righteousness to the land beneath our feet. God's throne is established in justice and righteousness and and He is searching earth to strengthen those who are walking in faith. Today. Right now. Here where you live. Your land. Your territory. This is your inheritance!

You claim your inheritance by telling your story. It's the Gospel. It's the Good News. It's His Word against the sociopaths. We overcome by the blood of Jesus and the our testimony.

If you've ever had a test or a trial. You have a TESTimony. If you've ever been in a mess, you have a MESSage.

Tell your story!

We tell our tales not for pity, not because we're victims – NO! We tell our stories because they are memorial stones erected to tell the next generation: "This is who I AM. This is what God did through my little life. This is the inheritance God gave me and I'm sharing it with you." Your story creates your world.

We plant seeds of victory for the next generations to harvest. History is meant to be ALIVE, INTERACTIVE, and not just facts we memorize and spit out on tests!

We are rewriting our history. And as we each rewrite our history for the sake of the next generation, we are changing the history of this planet. We are inheriting tomorrow, today! We are bringing Heaven to Earth right here, right now!

This is our inheritance as children of God. To receive an inheritance means you must first find out you have one and then claim your inheritance. Next, you must receive it. Where we tend to get it all wrong is we are too passive. We pray and expect things to appear out of nowhere. We go out into battle and get slaughtered. We miss our destiny. Our children then struggle too hard. And in the meantime, the socipaths keep ruling OUR territory!

No wonder God has to keep waiting on us… it's not God's will that any of us should suffer or perish. He wants us to enjoy a lavish, abundant life. It's our inheritance! But we must claim it, receive it, and ACT to bring it from Heaven here to Earth.

This world's system has been grooming us to be mere spectators, robots, and dumbed-down people living a sub-human lifestyle. All the better for us to be a controlled society. For most people this is hell on earth. Yet, we CAN change history.

We do that by telling our story. And if our story is the wrong story, a victim's pity-mongering story, that won't work.

No more victims! "Abused No More" is how I choose to view my own territory. That is my inheritance and it's the legacy I give to my children, if they choose to accept it.

Your story matters!

What story are you telling yourself and others? Do you have your story written down? Are you speaking it out every day? If not, it's like going out into the battlefield of life without your armor. Your story puts on the armor.

If you'd like to know more about how to remove the victim's garments and to wear the armor of a child of God, I'd love to share with you: "On the Way Home: Diary of a Prodigal Daughter". It's my upcoming book. You can pre-order a free copy by registering here. It's the great adventure and we can walk together, if you wish, sharing our stories and rewriting our future. You wil receive this upcoming book and a free ticket for the "Life Story Writing" game.

With all my love,

Sue

She knows how it feels to lose everything: marriage and family, church and reputation, finances and businesses, and more. Susan's upcoming book, "On the Way Home: Diary of a Prodigal Daughter," tells the story of how she came to be known as "the most abused woman" her counselors had yet met and how she navigated her way out of hell to a rich and satisfying life. In her lifetime, Susan has served in duties ranging from home school mom – to pastor –  to full-time deliverance minister – and to Midwest regional prayer coordinator for a large international ministry. These days you can usually find Susan soaking in her favorite hot springs pool, reading a book (or several), blogging, baking bread, or hanging out with her family and friends. I believe that is what we have been called to do. Tell our Story. Everyone of us has a different one. How shall we escape if we do not tell our Story.

Brilliant Story Susan.

There’s such freedom in telling our stories, as it sounds like you well know, Gertraud! Thank you so much 🙂
