We’re on the Way Home

Do you feel like you’re in a free fall, never able to get ahead? Do the same patterns of tragedy keep cycling in your family? Have you ever wondered how you’ll make it to retirement, whether financially or emotionally?
The dark may be rising all around the globe, causing even strong people to lose heart and give in to the fear of debt, loss of income, aging parents, and more, but there’s a powerful shift happening. It’s beginning with the “least of these” – those who have been mistreated, abused, abandoned, and left behind.
There’s a “Big Day” coming, one that Malachi describes as a “sunrise” – a time when the Darkness comes to an abrupt end. Everything of evil is burned up and nothing left but ashes.
“The sun of righteousness will dawn on those who honor my name, healing radiating from its wings. You will be bursting with energy, like colts frisky and frolicking. And you’ll trump on the wicked. They’ll be nothing but ashes under your feet on that Day.” – Malachi 4
It’s a Day when parents and children are coming Home, out of this world’s system that is totally broken. It’s a Day when captives are released, the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, and the broken are mended. (Isaiah)
Malachi isn’t the only one to speak of this Day. Jesus, in reading from the prophet Isaiah, preached that the Day was at hand. He had come to fulfill those long awaited promises.
The new world has already begun!
Like the Hebrews leaving Egypt we are crossing through the wilderness. We’re crossing over.
Are you tired of being sick, low on energy, and having to run so fast just to keep up?
Religion would like you to believe you must “grin and bear it” until you 1.) die and go to heaven or 2.) you are raptured. That isn’t what Jesus taught, though. We’re to be fruitful and to multiply… to be a blessing.
Jesus came to put a face on God, and we are here to put a face on Christ, for He is our head. He came to this world because He’s so wild about us that He was willing to be tortured and to lay down His life for us, to show us we are radically and wildly loved.
He told us that the world will believe in the Good News when they see us loving each other in the same way! It’s a return to intimacy with our Father God and with each other.
I call it “living the Garden of Eden lifestyle“.
God simply wants His family to come Home. Home is security. Home is protection and provision. Home is intimacy. Home is rest. Home is where you are free to be your authentic self. Why can’t we experience that here and now? Do we really believe the power of Darkness is greater than the power of our God?
Didn’t Jesus tell us that He’s given us “all authority” here on earth, simply because we are living in Him, and He in us?
We have a Bridegroom who is on His way for a bride who is spotless and without stain or wrinkle. She’s radiant! Her dress is pure white, for she is clothed with righteousness. She is a warrior bride, just as her bridegroom is a warrior.
Religion would have us focusing on being wrinkle-free and removing all the spots, which are endless. Christ would have us focus on Him, the only One who is sinless.
We become like the One we behold.
I’m just an ordinary wife, mom, and woman who has loved God ever since I was a child. Religion waylaid me and I came to be known as “the most abused woman” my counselors had yet met. And this website holds the story of how my Beloved rescued me.
I write, because in penning of words I find my vision shifts, my inner world changes, and I begin to see etches of this new world in my outer circumstances. I hope you will join me in writing to freedom!
