Activating your “Why”

What Do You Want Your Life to Look Like?

By: Susan Deborah Schiller

I'm going to challenge you today to listen to Nick's story in the video above and to ask yourself: What, really, would your life look like without limits? What may be holding you back? Name it. Stake your flag on the outcome you desire!

Let's imagine this is you on stage, instead of Nick – let's say five to ten years from today. You may not have the same limitations to overcome as Nick, but you have your own set of opportunities to step up into your greatness. You have a story unfolding that gives birth to your life message.

“When you stand and share your story in an empowering way, your story will heal you and your story will heal somebody else.” — Iyanla Vanzant

The human propensity is to think small, to doubt ourselves, to diminish the spark of God that is in you. Sometimes we call it "being humble" but mostly, we're living in a scarcity mindset, based on fear.

What if our shrinking is partially responsible for some of the chaos around us? What if playing small delays or obstructs God's glory from filling the earth? What if you could create something beautiful out of that very chaos? That's the truth that caused me – an introvert, naturally quiet – to go public with my life story.

Love is always calling us to a higher path – a path of honoring what is right and true in each other and ourselves. It's a path of shedding our illusions and awakening to a love-based reality, of empowering ourselves and others. It takes a team of people in your life to bridge the gap between fear-based living and love-based living. And that's why I'm here…

I am writing to show God's grace and mercy can hold us steady when everything around us begins to crash and crumble. Love is always calling, even in the darkest of times. Love always wins!

Your turn now. What has been your biggest obstacle? Whether you're still in the battle, fresh from the battle, or just beginning to enter the battle, this is your hill to stake your flag on. This is your Promised Land. This is the place where God promises to equip, empower, and lavishly provide for you.

"The difficulties in your life are clues pointing to your lavish inheritance. God is calling you to rise up to a new dimension of life." — Graham Cooke

Everything you need has been provided for you, in advance. Your provision awaits you, as you step up and into your destiny!

Despite what other people might think is your fate in the future, God is ready to deliver you out of all the expectations of your enemies. Some of your enemies are sure that you are finished. God says that you are only beginning. Rise up." — Miriam Hellman

What is holds you back?

Debt? Work? Depression? Abandonment? Persecution? Inadequacy?

Do you need to wait till retirement? Do you need to wait for permission?

Who are you, to shine?

Who are you, to succeed?

Who are you, to be happy?

You are you. Be you.

Bad things happen, even twice.

Really bad things, I mean.

We can't always change it.

But we can rewrite our story.

We can make our story change.

Not the past, but our present.

Right here, right now.

Let Love's Fiery Flame Into Your Core.

And watch the lies melt,

including the you who isn't really the true you.

With God all things are possible.

If you had no limitations,

what would you do with your one precious life?

Not tomorrow, but today,

What is one thing you can do?

So what is holding your back?

What is it that you lack?

Let's reach beyond that belief

And scratch below the surface and bore

Down into the core.

What part of your story do you see there?

Where is the seed of your GREATNESS?

Draw a picture.

Capture an image.

Write a paragraph.

Don't fight the fears.

Don't hold back the tears.

Focus on Love. God is Love.

Change the vibration, right at the root.

A new song will be drawn up through the sap.

Your roots are getting stronger.

Your branches are reaching up.

You are a story unfolding.

We eat from each other's trees,

As we listen to each others stories.

We need you to be the real you, not a GMO.

Step up, tell your story.

Be brave. Choose you.

Yeah, you.

I dare you: Take the hill.

Create your world.

Activation 1:

Slow down and dawdle for a bit. Let your mind wander. Begin to dream, either awake or asleep. Ask yourself: What do you want your life to look like? What do you really, really want? If you could BE, DO, or HAVE anything you wanted, write it down. Don't make it pretty. Spit it out. Choke it out. Sing it, shout it, draw it – whatever it takes.

You have no limitations, don't forget… this is your imagination. It's safe to dream big! It's honors and glorifies God when we think BIG! If you don't have time right now, trying doing this activation tonight, just before you fall asleep. Keep a notepad next to your bed!

You have a seed of greatness inside of you, right at the core of who you are. Don't play small – you are God's masterpiece!

This activation is designed to jiggle, wiggle, and niggle it out of you. It may take a few minutes, days, or weeks… but it will come. Here's what has worked for me: In imagining myself ten years older than I am today, I wrote myself a letter, both thanking me for taking steps toward my goals and warning me of traps along the way!

It helps to see into what could well be your future. Peering like this is not a psychic activity – it's scientific – and quantum physicists call it popping a qwiff. It's a wish that becomes clear as you pray into it, with God's promises. You might simply call it "faith" – the ability to see into what is not yet there.

This is the beginning of your life message. It's your WHY for writing your mini-memoir. Take your time. No pressure. The journey of memoir-writing is just as important, or more, as the final product!

I'll come back in three days with the next step. In the meantime, begin gathering your photo albums, loose pictures, and digital photos and start selecting your best baby and toddler photos. Listen to your heart. Choose what makes you feel something – don't look for the prettiest or most perfect. Look for the glint in the eyes, the arch of the eyebrow, the dimply grin… whatever makes you happiest. Add it to your photo file, inside the "My Mini-Memoir" file, okay? You're well on your way – living the aventure!

Here's my "hello from the future" letter to myself – I look forward to reading your letters from your elder self, if you care to share! 🙂
