Exhausted, I mounted the writhing beast who had churned up dark, frothy waters that flashed like daggers in the moonlight. The massive dragon skillfully navigated the deep waters, plunging forward in giant, yet sinewy bounds. Weren't dragons supposed to fly, not bound through water, I thought? For whatever reason, this dragon was sea-bound.

Taking courage, I summoned the last ounce of my strength to advance up its wide, slippery neck. It was a tortuous journey and if it weren't for the thick scales, I might not have survived the climb.

I crouched at the base of the massive creature's head as the beast launched itself high up out of the water. We towered at least seventy-five feet above the surface of the deep. I clung defensively to my position as the dragon stretched and curled its head, trying to get a good look at me.

So near to the dragon's face, I saw he had many people trapped in his jaws, all certainly to be crushed in the jagged teeth. His mouth was wide open, as if in great surprise someone had challenged him by climbing up his neck. He had been caught eating dinner in the middle of a bite. He was simply curious, trying to smell me.

In that precious minute was my last chance.

Down below, near the edge of the large body of water, I spotted a man-made pool. Even as the dragon's head spun around I leaped into the pool. From within the dragon's mouth the people cheered and most of them began leaping, too, landing in the pool beside me. Mothers and daughters jumped together. Very few men were in the group.

There were both tears and cheers, as the people realized certain death had been avoided and they were glad to be alive! Many of the mothers and daughters thanked me for having the courage to climb the monster's neck. For if I hadn't, he would not have been momentarily distracted from his catch of the day and they would not have been able to escape.

The next morning, I was led to a board meeting. The man in charge of the sea beast was present, sitting in the chairman's chair. He was impressed with my bold, daring feat and told me he was going to become my ally and assist me in my cause.

Interpretation of my dream (as of today):

Water often symbolizes “the world” in my dreams. The dragon in the water, I think, symbolizes the church today, who has forgotten it is destined to fly and soar as an Eagle far above all principalities and powers of the universe that have made Earth a battle zone. People are being crushed in the jaws of false religion. I jumped off, and because I took the leap of faith, many other people had the courage to jump. Mothers and daughters are watching and following me.

Other dreams have contributed to the understanding of this dream. Previously, I was escaping from prison (not the kind of prison where you are punished for your crimes, but a scientific laboratory type of prison where I was being systematically tortured and "reprogrammed" for compliance to their system. In those dreams, when I talked, flames of fire blasted from my mouth with such intensity that it would burn and kill my enemies, in close contact with me. I would, in fact, warn my enemies not to come close to me because I really did not want to kill them, but I would, to protect the children around me and myself.

I have discovered that the source of this fire is God Himself, manifested in His Word. When we meditate on God's Word, it's like we are consuming it and it enters into our bellies (our souls). God is a holy, living fire.
"Therefore, this is what the LORD God of Heaven's Armies says: "Because the people are talking like this, my messages will flame out of your mouth and burn the people like kindling wood." (Jeremiah 5:14)

"… for our "God is a consuming fire." (Hebrews 12:29)
As I confront the dragon with courage and boldness, the dragon itself will be changed and somehow become an ally. Many people will be saved.

I believe God is calling His children to confront the evil we see in our institutions and traditions. These institutions were created to protect and defend the family, which is the backbone of society. For example, the institutional church is not evil, but when it swims in the murky waters of the world's system, it becomes corrupting and ends up abusive God's children.

It's in sharing our stories that our voice is raised. So many voices are preaching and teaching and the information market is filled with noise. A story bypasses the over-worked brain and nestles directly into the heart. It's left for the hearer to discern and to decide if the story resonates with their own heart. We all know the Truth of God. We are His children!

Let's RISE UP and SHINE! Don't be afraid of the fire in your belly. Open your mouth and speak up for those who are still held captive in the prisons of this corrupt world's system.

This is simply my own story. I share it so that one day, even in my own generation, there will be no more abuse.

With His hand in mine, I become His Heart Scribe,

Sue

After reading my article someone recommended I watch the movie, "Dragon Heart" … so I did! WOW!!!

From the trailer:

"Long ago, when majestic fire-breathers soared through the skies, there live da knight who would com face-to-face and heart-to-heart with the most remarkable creature that ever existed. … Bowen is a knight dedicated to The Old Code – a noble creed of honor. When his pupil, Prince Einon, becomes an even crueler king than his father, Bowen's idealism turns to bitterness. Believing Einon's soul to have been poisoned by a dragon, Bowen vows to destroy them all. On his quest for revenge, he meets "Draco", a dragon whose power, strength and wit prove to be more than a match for the disillusioned knight. Soon, what begins as a life or death struggle between the two evolves into a friendship that will change the face of their medieval world.

I love the speech the dragon and Bowen share:

"A knight is sworn to valor
His heart knows only virtue
His blade defends the helpless
His might upholds the weak
His word speaks only truth
His wrath undoes the wicked"

My article, "I Have A Dream" (https://loveyourstory.org/dream/) is about this "code" – and as an idealist, I cannot help but believe. Whatever we can imagine is capable of existing!

"If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer," Jesus said – and I believe Him!
