The Trouble Dissolver

A Conversation with Papa God

By: Susan Deborah Schiller

There are still still days when life's stormy waters threaten to tumble me into an undercurrent of despair. It causes me to doubt myself, to blame myself, and to miss hearing God's loving voice.

So I focus on Christ Jesus, who also suffered betrayal, rejection, and abandonment. I remember I am His beloved. Somehow these simple actions of faith cause me to rise to the surface, and even to fly. I rise above the storm and I hear the whispers of His still, quiet voice. This is one Truth I heard:

Troubles come on the scent of doubts.

Praising changes your scent.

Rejoicing dissolves the troubles.

He keeps it simple and sweet for me. He knows I cannot handle too much at once.

Yes, there are still days when the lies of the enemy track me down. It's so easy to retreat into old patterns of self-doubt, self-blame, and downright fear that nothing will ever change. The enemy is like that, you know…

Love overcomes all evil. There's a whole movement today focusing on self-love, self-acceptance, and self-this, and self-that. I respect what they are sharing. To forgive myself and to love myself have been very hard but necessary actions. There is Truth in learning to be who you truly are, to be comfortable in your own skin. I believe there is a foundation, even deeper that roots me to the Bedrock of faith…

Intimacy with Papa God through Christ Jesus is what makes all the difference, for me. That is my sure foundation. It's laid brick by brick, as I focus on His nature, praise Him for who He truly is, and through rejoicing in what He is already doing in my life… right in the midst of the turmoil of smear campaigns and the noisy accusations from the enemy's camp.

Love wins. Truth always prevails.

Sweet victory, of which the world knows so little. Peace that passes all understanding…

Protect your heart, my friend… remove the scent of doubt, dissolve your troubles….

All my love,

Susan
