Rising Up from the Ashes of Defeat
By: Susan Deborah Schiller
Every bursted bubble has a glory
Each abysmal failure makes a point
Every glowing path that goes astray
Shows you how to find a better way
So every time you stumble, Never grumble
Next time you'll bumble even less
For up from the ashes, up from the ashes, grow the roses of success
Grow the roses
Grow the roses
Grow the roses of success
O yes!
Grow the roses
Those rosy roses
From the ashes of disaster grow the roses of success
For every big mistake you make be grateful
(Hear, hear!)
That mistake you'll never make again
(No sir)
Every shiny dream that fades and dies
Generates the steam for two more tries
So there's magic in the wake of a fiasco!
(Correct)
It gives you that chance to second guess
(O yes!)
…
Disaster didn't styme Louis Pasteur
(No sir)
Edison took years to see the light
(Right)
Alexander Graham knew failure well. He took a lot of knocks to ring that bell
So when it gets distressing it's a blessing
Onward and upward you must press
Yes! Yes!
If you, like me, have been silenced in your past … If you feel you've lost your voice, you can rise up from the ashes of defeat. What you thought was dead and gone is ready to be restored to you, multiplied.
There is beauty inside your story, but until you begin to tell your story the beauty lies like a treasure buried in ashes.
Telling your story, finding the beauty, releasing your passion, and receiving your provision is your God-given inheritance. Tell your story with God's pen. Be His heartscribe. And watch for your phoenix to rise!

Susan,
Who painted the ice-water-fire phoenix? I love it, and would like to credit it. Look at Valley Fire Phoenix Rising at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1502848316699710/1550626958588512/?notif_t=like

The phoenix is beautiful, isn’t it? I purchased this image from canstockphoto.ca, however except for a link to the uploader, there is little information on the image’s origin.
I like the motto on your over image: “Together we shall rise” – that’s beautiful!
Wow! Riviting! I find myself completely inrtigued in your story and I want to know more. I have always wanted to share my story but never thought it was worth telling. Thank you for sharing.
I am visiting from FMF.
Thanks for coming by, Amber, and for your encouraging words!
It is good to be your FMF neighbor and be encouraged by your testimony of God's redemptive power in freeing you to be all he created you to be!
Thank you, Erin – your words are kind. 🙂
Opening up "Small Straws in a Soft Wind" today, and reading this:
THE TRUMPET by BILL BURNS:
Fight the good fight, and you shall surely win. For, this is your season of victory. All of the things that you have looked at and established as weapons that are formed against you will not prosper. This is the day of deliverance. This is the day of the habitation of My Spirit, Who has risen up within you as a warrior going into combat for you. Now, you go with Him. Go! Run the race. Fight the good fight. Press forward into a place of victory, for it is your destiny, says the Lord.
