More Restoration: China from Papa

More Restoration: China from Papa

By: Susan Deborah Schiller

"I will give you two mercies for every woe. I will restore to you all that was lost, times two." I felt God saying to me, so many years ago when all seemed lost, hopeless, and unredeemed.

Did it matter that I lost houses, land, money, and more? It came to the point where I didn't care. It was the relationships that mattered most to me. So many of those were lost, too, in the wake of sociopathic abuse.

My identity was stolen, and as it turned out, that was the key to restoring everything else.

Who am I? Who are my people? Those two questions sent me on a journey that brought stability and peace to my war-torn spirit. My identity as Papa God's beloved daughter and my family – those who love God in an intimate, selfless way – put me in a safe place. Light pierced the darkness as the lies were exposed and I embraced the Truth that set me free.

Does God care about material things? Well, after this year, I would say, "Yes!"

You may have read, "You are Altogether Beautiful, My Darling," where all my silver was restored to me, doubled. A few weeks later, I had this idea to check Craig's List. Not something I normally do, if I'm not looking for something in particular. An odd idea passed through my mind, "Remember that rolltop desk you used to have? See if it's available." That desk was taken away from me by my ex-husband, who declared it was his property, and I was too devastated to fight him.

Opening my laptop, I pulled up a browser and pointed it to Craig's List, where to my utter amazement, I saw the exact roll top desk I had purchased in 1981 – the one on which I used to write children's stories on yellow legal paper with a #2 pencil! It was more than a desk, to me – it was symbolic of my dream to write children's stories! It felt like a resurrection of the dream, more than a mere restoration. I mean, what are the odds of finding the exact same desk more than 30-years later, in the boonies of Montana?

The next day, I brought home my desk. It looks  and feels exactly like the desk that was stolen from me. My granddaugther and I use it to write stories, today.

So yesterday… I went to a thrift store to buy blankets. I really didn't feel like going, because I had so much catching up to do with this blog and responding to readers. But it was a beautiful day, so I hopped in the truck and went, mainly to spend time with my husband.

We didn't find what we were looking for, but a beautiful set of gold-trimmed china sat there on the shelf, from Japan. A setting for eight, at just 25-cents a piece! In near-perfect condition, I might add. Gold-trimmed china from Japan was one of the assets that had been stolen from me, in the past, by a sociopathic abuser.

Does God care about restoration? I didn't realize just how much He cares about righting injustices until this year. He is Spirit, but He cares about our material possessions, too. He hates what the wicked have done to steal, kill, and destroy our lives!

He wants to make it right with us. He wants to use us in setting the world aright.

In, "What Was Stolen from You?" I share how it pays to write down all that the enemy stole from you. There are rules of engagement that turn the tables on your enemy and cause him to not only flee from you, but to return what was stolen.

Every time we identify an adversary, a crime scene, and declare what was stolen we then get to claim a "double portion" of our inheritance restored.

This is not about blaming and shaming anyone; it's about getting your life back! – What was Stolen from You?

Yes, it's time to turn the tables, is it not? We turn the Light on and shine it into the darkness of the lies and deceit that once bound us to our enemy. You may still be living in the enemy's house, but your spirit is free. You are free to get your life back. You are free to shed the shame, the blame, and the fear.

Nothing you can do will change a wicked person's heart. Not even prayer and fasting will make them change their minds. Reason and rational logic never works either. Only YOU rising up will make the difference!

Don't go back into hiding. Don't just think about surviving, dear heart! Let's turn the tables – let's cause our enemy to run! As sad as he's made you, you can make him even more depressed just seeing you rise up!

Therefore, we are no longer victims. We are overcomers. We rule in the midst of our enemies. Thanks to Psalm 110, we have this promise:

The LORD will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, "Rule in the midst of Your enemies."  – What was Stolen from You?

Rise up. Write down what you lost. Itemize each asset, relationship, dollar, and cent. Then soak in God's promises and watch, listen, and see what He'll do!

Oh, Sue, you are right on!  God DOES care about what has been lost.  When my marriage collapsed and all I had left were my two children and the rings on my fingers, I heard the Lord tell me to put my rings in the offering plate one Sunday morning.  It was all I had left of the marriage and I felt no loss as I dropped them in the plate.  BUT GOD!  God took that offering and multiplied it back to me.  Some day we will meet and share stories and this one is a beauty!  Love and hugs, my friend.  Praying too that relationships are restored for both of us.
