In the Midst of Chaos is Opportunity

In the Midst of Chaos is Opportunity

By: White Dove

Chaos poured out of the sky, down to earth, in the form of hideous monsters that took foot, running, as soon as they reached earth. Each had an assignment of terror and destruction; their targets already marked. I looked for the source of this chaos – who was raining down terror upon the earth? Was it the devil? No, it was something altogether different!

The dream continued, as I began to understand the cause of chaos – all the negative words of people on earth – speaking judgment, criticism, hatred, racial prejudice, violence, and all kinds of evil. This violence and evil were amplified and multiplied on the televison and radio waves.

Mahem in the air waves, and no one understood what they were creating.

The universe always responds to our thoughts, words, and actions. It was designed to obey our commands! We are humans and have been given all authority on earth, to establish justice, peace, and to bring about prosperity for all… or… the opposite.

"In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity." — Sun-Tzu

When chaos descends, polluting our atmosphere with the "stuff" that grinds us down, day-by-day and hour-by-hour, how can we create a new atmosphere?

Once again I went to Papa God and asked Him.

He pointed me to the book of Esther and he taught me how to "make a decree". In this Old Testament book, it was looking really bad for God's people. A psychopath named Haman conceived a master plan to massacre a whole tribe of people – the Jews. Genocide on a mass scale. But God was already light years ahead of Haman, having given Queen Esther favor with the king. When her Uncle Mordechai discovered the wicked plot, he covertly met with the queen, exhorting her to use her favor to stall the massacre.

The Great Reversal

Mordechai told Esther, "Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4)

Instead of a massacre, the Jews get armed and dangerous and by the king's own decree, in writing, they are released to kill the very people who were sent to slaughter them. It took them more than one day to scoop up all the plunder, for it was a very great reversal.

Evil had planned to slaughter ALL of the Jewish men, women, and children. Instead, their very own plot was reversed and turned back on their own heads. Haman lost everything, being hanged on the very instrument of death he had built for Morechai.

You may be the Esther in your family. Do you need a miraculous change right now – to create beauty out of chaos? Insert the name of your particular enemy in the sentence above that begins with "Haman" and try tasting it on your tongue. "My Enemy lost everything, having been permanently stopped in the very trap he built for me. Now the curse is reversed and I'm twice as blessed as I would have been if this evil had not descended upon my family."

Make a Decree, Write it Down. You are rewriting your future!

In fact, as I'm typing this, the little book I made is sitting right in front of me. It contains all of the decrees I pray, using God's promises and His Word. As I read through the decrees I created back in 2007, I am finding that nearly all if it has come to pass, as of 2015, and I'm needing to update it!

Every single time I make a decree, consistently and persistently, my world changes.

" After Joseph was betrayed he told his malicious brothers: "What you meant for harm God turned for good." The Bible says "in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." In everything is not FOR everything. "In" implies that the thing that happened may have had nothing to do with God. Still, God has power "to cause all things to work together for your good." By choosing to be thankful in spite of the situation you enthrone God OVER the situation and He works to make the outcome even more glorious for you. Thus "no weapon formed against you shall prosper." It does not always mean no weapon can reach you, but rather that God will so work in the situation that the weapon is reversed against the enemy and YOU PROSPER. Thus the weapon of persecution and jail was reversed in Pauls case (and Joseph's) so that in both cases the ever praising servant of God took over the prison and afterward got released! (Think about Paul and Silas singing in the Philipian jail.) The opposite of praising is "stuffing." This is the art of shoving the pain and hurt into a deep pocket that never gets sanitized by thanksgiving and begins to leak like a corrosive emotional battery. Much physical infirmity and sickness comes this way. But you can beat the infirmity entirely by forgiving quickly and putting yourself under an umbrella of divine intervention by being thankful "in" the situation even when you don't feel happy "for" the situation. If God be for you, everything the enemy throws at you will be converted to strength and advancement in the purpose of God for your life! Enjoy the holiday stuffing and avoid the emotional stuffing. Be thankful because you have power to position all of life under the mighty hand of God who promises to work it all together for your good. Every adversity carries with it the seed of an equal or greater enlargement of territory to those who refuse to stuff and decide to sing!" By~Lance Wallnau

Such lovely words for a beautiful message.  Our words do become our life.  When we put out love, joy and kindness into the world, it returns back to us.  When we put out negativity, and hatefulness, it returns just the same.  Words are so powerful, just as you said.  I've only learned that in the past year or so, but it's been a glorious year.  I've been able to change my life for the better.

Somehow the world has lost its understanding of the power of words, Sue.  Today what we hear is babble, with interjections of crassness and inconsideration.  You have identified the only real weapon we have against it:  speaking words of truth, beauty and joy!

I wish we all knew how powerful we are, even down to every last child. Sometimes I think of "Horton Hears a Who" by Dr. Seuss and I think of that last little Who from Whoville who added his voice, and saved their world πŸ™‚

Thanks Sharon – blessings on you! πŸ™‚

Susan – Preach!!! Such a timely reminder to get in the Word of God and to speak the word of God in to our lives and the worls in which we walk.  Here's to living in the grace of God and walking in the authority He endowed us with.

Good words, Marvia… we can change the atmosphere, I believe, with good words… they are so much more powerful than negative! Thank you so much πŸ™‚
