- "If I could ____, I would ____."
- "My desire is to ____."
- "If I had time, I would ___."
The toughest question PJ asked us was:
"What does the world (your children, family, friends, etc) stand to lose if I fail?"
Time does not heal all wounds; action does. If I don't take action to heal, to wash off the scent of prey from my soul, to allow the Holy Spirit to dig deeper in my own heart, to release the triggers and time bombs of hurtful events and people in my life, then Time alone will not do it.
PJ's three simple questions combined with continually asking myself "why" helped me to dig deeper into a vast reservoir of Truth. It helped me to rediscover my true identity and my purpose in life.
What does the world around you stand to lose, if you fail in your life's purpose? What are you doing to move forward?
Your Day 21 activation is to play the game, "I Wish. I Want. I Will."
Explore the answers to these questions. Dig deeper by asking "Why?" repeatedly until you get into the core of your being!
- "If I could ____, I would ____."
- "My desire is to ____."
- "If I had time, I would ___."
βJoin me sat the Wishing Tree, where I answer these three questions, or better, begin to ponder these questions and dream BIG with GOD!
Be you. Live free. Tell your story.

Susan Schiller knows how it feels to lose everything: marriage and family, church and reputation, finances and businesses, and more. Susan's upcoming, interactive memoir, "On the Way Home," tells the story of how she came to be known as "the most abused woman" her counselors had yet met and how she learned to navigate her way out of hell to a rich and satisfying life. In her lifetime, Susan has served in duties ranging from home school mom – to pastor – to full-time deliverance minister – and to Midwest regional prayer coordinator for a large international ministry. These days you can usually find Susan soaking in her favorite hot springs pool, reading a book (or several), blogging, baking bread, or hanging out with her family and friends. Susan, Susan! WoW. I so needed this reminder. It's time to disengage the excuses and fully engage in the living, being, and doing lest we get ripped off of opportunity. This is a powerfully striking truth, and I needed it desperately. Here's to setting boundaries, maintaining them, not backing down, and boldly moving forward!
I hear your courage, Marvia… to fully engage in the living, being, and doing. I admire your strong determination and I honor the desires of you heart. I’m on your cheering squad and you’re on the winning team, so I’m thrilled for you! Thank you so much for being here! π
I can totally relate to the need to be childlike when it comes to overcoming the past. When we approach God for healing it really helps to have that childlike trust that we can hand all our pain to Him and He will make us better.
What a powerful post about how to reclaim your life. And the world stands to lose so much if we don't try to live our lives as the person God intended us to be. You are an inspiration Susan π
Dear Carolyn,
You have a tremendous story of reclaiming your life, and really hope one day to hear the whole story. If only there weren’t an ocean and thousands of miles between us – I’d love to sit in your kitchen and chat with you! Or have you at my house π
Childlike trust means everything in the Kingdom, but it’s the biggest mountain to climb, it seems…
All my love to you!
Thanks for sharing your blog. I personally believe that 'failure' is only failure if we fail to learn the lesson. Mistakes happen and are designed for us to learn and grow from them… and share! Thanks
Hi Tandy… I like how you use the word “designed” – in the sense that even negatives can be turned into positives because something good can come of it all. Every problem comes equipped with its own solution. This perspective is so very important, isn’t it?
Thanks so much for sharing – I appreciate you!
What a powerful question Susan "What does the world (your children, family, friends, etc) stand to lose if I fail?"
For me it's very important to leave an Inheritance for the generations which follow. And I don't mean necessarily financial rewards. For me it is much more important to know that I have lived "Gertraud" (Strong Spear) without fail. No matter what the resistance may be, we ought to remeber that we are joint Heirs with Jesus. I would love to be remembered and talked about just like Kunta Kinte in Roots.
Your words give me shivers, Gertraud… to be remembered like Kunta Kinte, to leave a memorable legacy… to have run our race well. Yes, my friend… I am with you!!!
Hello,
What I've learned over the years is that the biggest problem with failure is that it is a subject that most people hate to talk about. It’s through dealing with failure that we can ultimately gain success. I look at failure as nothing more than experiences that allow me to grow to the person who I am today. Thank you for the post!
What a really healthy attitude to have, Nate! I’m so glad you stopped in to read and share today! Thanks so much π
I've never had to deal with the things you allude to, but I do try to move forward every day. Being reminded to sometimes think like a child is helpful! Good luck in your journey.
Hi Janne,
Thanks so much for coming by today and for sharing!
