I Will Follow Him

A Five Minute Friday Writing Adventure

My heart swells and beats faster when I hear Whoopie Goldberg's choir sing, "I Will Follow Him". A lump rises to my throat and it feels once again like that day when I was looking down at my bloody feet and the rocky uphill path that had torn my flesh.

Only a few paces ahead of me stands Jesus, half-turned backward, his face lined with concern. "Do you still want to follow Me?" I feel his tenderness, and yet there is firmness in his voice. "I told you it would be lonely. You would see evil face-to-face and you would not like it."

My despair and weariness give way to peace as he holds out his hand. My feet are still bloody and my body is bleeding with open wounds, but with each step my strength returns.

Passion, even obssession, to the mission of Christ – to do our Father's business – replaces fear. It's a perfect love that causes us to lay down our lives, even every day, for our friends. I could never do this without him!

I will follow him, for I love him… because he loves me and no matter where he goes, that's where I want to be.

Hi grandma what a grart story it most be hard for you in many ways but I belive that god is gowing to take all the pains awaly so you can do anything without hert and so you can just be you and do what you whant. Ilove your story and i love you so much you are my granma forever. I love you!
