Dream Parables: Bridal Intimacy

Dream Parables: Bridal Intimacy

Have you ever counted how many Bible studies you've attended, taught, listened to via recording, or done at home? I used to have shelves and shelves of books, and now after moving so often, I'm down to one shelf supplemented by a Kindle library.

I love reading and to tell you the truth, my best mentors have been authors like C.S. Lewis, George MacDonald, Madeleine L'Engle, Oswald Chambers, Andrew Murray, and many more.

I like biographies the best, but I've also learned from MacDonald's drama series and Lewis's fantasy series. My Christian liberal arts college liked to emphasize, "All Truth is God's Truth!"

I think I loved reading so much that I tended to spend more time with my nose in a book than in hanging out with my Bridegroom.

I put this dream parable into a video so I won't write it in text here. I will never, ever forget how I felt in that dream… the clear picture of being CHOSEN! But more than that, of WHO was choosing me! This father and son, if only I could truly describe them… were so relaxed and comfortable with each other. The Love was the most intense, yet peaceful and secure, that I had ever experienced.

This dream took place many years ago, at a time when I felt unloved. I had been abandoned, shunned, and even persecuted. It was tempting to think that God had also abandoned me, so in the context of this dream, it was a sweeping, revolutionary revelation that I had a Bridegroom who was madly in love with me!

Marital intimacy is unlike any other relationship on earth. The apostle Paul calls it a "mystery" because of its direct correlation to our Union with ChristFor so many years I yearned to FEEL in my marriage what I experienced in this dream… the feeling of being cherished!

Have you been awakened, yet, to this kind of love? Is there an obstacle in the way, as there was for me?

With all my love,

Sue

Such amazing love!  Sometimes almost unbelievable yet it is true — HE LOVES US!  Oh, if I could only convey that love to others that they might experience it as well.  Bless you, my friend!

I think God feels that way, too…. if only we could comprehend just how loved we are!

I will never, ever forget their faces… the smiles and contagious laughter. So relaxed and full of joy, the kind of comfort you feel when you are with people who genuinely love you and who you genuinely love. It’s still indescribably beautiful and so hard to put into words!
