Out of Darkness and Into the Light

Out of Darkness and Into the Light

One of the first steps in recovering from long-term abuse is discovering how powerful God created our hearts and minds to be… powerful enough to create the atmosphere surrounding us. What we believe determines our reality, and most of what we believe was programmed into our minds before the age of five.

We carry within ourselves the DNA of Christ Jesus, in our spirit. In our bodies we carry the DNA of man, that manifests in the form of generational blessings and curses. Christ Jesus died on the cross to put to death all that produces death and to bring us life – not just ordinary life, but abundant life.

We have within ourselves the ability to create a safe place, a happy place, in our lives. For most of us it begins with an overhaul of our minds as it says in Romans 12:2:

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

The world programs us through media, education, religion, family, politics, etc to conform to the world. The Kingdom of Heaven reprograms us through Faith, which comes by hearing God's Word. It normally takes repetition, just as in sales and marketing the corporate world understands its message must appear repeated in various forms, to be produce results.

It's for this reason that I've included:

The Power of Blessings (Love from Papa)

Two-Minute Prayers

100 Stories

My own upcoming book, "On the Way Home"

Create your World

and Prophetic Videos

All of the above are from the Word of God, in diverse forms, to boost your faith so that you can choose love, banish fear, and create happiness in your life for eternity. These are Kingdom lessons that I've been challenged to learn and apply, over the past two decades.

I used to be called "the most abused woman" my counselors had ever met. Now I am loved, happy, secure, and still on the journey Home. The content that I've provided on the pages of this website is EVERYTHING and more that helped me to escape to freedom. It's meant to be a launching pad for you to create your own path, with Christ. I'm sharing what I know, as part of my story, because this is the path He led me on. Everyone's path is unique, so don't feel you have to do everything I've done. Pick it apart, adapt it, or discard it.

For most survivors, it begins with taking personal responsibility for the chaos in our own lives, and this is where most victims and survivors stumble. While we do need a season to blame our abusers – to identify what happened by telling our story – and to grieve (this can take years, sometimes), there comes a time to focus on the Light of Truth and to RUN with every fiber of our being to the Light… which means focusing ferociously on the blessings, using the prayers, watching the videos, etc… repetitiously.

You are already free, to the extent that the Truth is applied to your life. Most of us haven't yet applied all of the Truth. A little bit of Christianity is all that we have, and it's not enough. God wants to help us raise the quality level of our lives. We're not meant simply to SURVIVE this life, but the THRIVE!

Together, we are coming out of darkness and into the Light!

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. – 1 Peter 2:9

We can live without fear. We can create happiness. We can choose to love today!

Choosing love today,

Sue

Susan Schiller knows how it feels to lose everything: marriage and family, church and reputation, finances and businesses, and more. Susan's upcoming, interactive memoir, "On the Way Home," tells the story of how she came to be known as "the most abused woman" her counselors had yet met and how she learned to navigate her way out of hell to a rich and satisfying life. In her lifetime, Susan has served in duties ranging from home school mom – to pastor –  to full-time deliverance minister – and to Midwest regional prayer coordinator for a large international ministry. These days you can usually find Susan soaking in her favorite hot springs pool, reading a book (or several), blogging, baking bread, or hanging out with her family and friends.
