Let Me Call You Sweetheart

Let Me Call You Sweetheart

You are a tender shoot, growing up out of dry ground, so much like your Bridegroom, Christ Jesus. Following in His footsteps, you are a woman who knows what it is to be rejected and despised. You have been held in low esteem. Some even believe that you deserve to be punished of God, casting accusations on you with forked tongues. (Isaiah 51)

Little do they realize that the afflictions of your soul are the price you have gladly paid to rescue and protect their souls.

Ever since you were a teen the gift of leadership and a passion for teaching has propelled you into professions where you could have / should have rightfully rose to the top. You are intelligent, decisive, and have a sound mind. You have been successful in your own business. You are a good mother and wife.

Like a blooming rose, you opened your petals in full display of God's glory shining through you, but just as soon as you did, masculine voices rose up over yours. With their boots they kicked you and trod upon your fiery red blossoms.

Red is sometimes called the color of power. It can represent leaders who know how to take command. We need these fiery red people, both women and men. It's also the color of the innocent and pure blood of Jesus shed on the cross. In many ways, you have endured a crucifixion.

In this man's world, your feminity was your demise. Toxic words sliced through your heart and your spirit wilted, leaving you half dead.

Where does a woman fit within a patriarchal system ? A woman of intellect. A woman of prophetic gifting. A woman with a great gift to preach, teach, and lead?

Your dreams shattered into thousands of pieces. Your marriage failed and you started anew. Same thing, just another lap around the same bend. You wonder how you can recover the lost years, the broken dreams. You worry about your children and how this family portrait can be put back together.

What is God really saying to these elusive dreams, these great prophetic visions? You wonder if you have done your very best, if you have given your everything. Did you love enough? Did you serve with humility?

What is God saying?

We, your sisters, envision you sitting on a bench made for two. Your Bridegroom and you are watching a sunset across a mirrored bay. A large ship rocks softly in the distant waves. It looks like a battleship and it's moving steadily across the ocean. The sun appeared late in the day, after a torrential downpour. The clouds have parted and soon the night sky will darken, setting the stage for a starry host to appear.

It's been a long, dark battle but you are moving forward. The worst of the storm has now past. The sun is shining and the night sky will be clear up ahead.

Father is shooting you, like a pool ball. You are red-striped. You are not like an ordinary ball. You have elasticity and bounce! You will shoot far and it will be a delightful experience, full of joy and wonder.

It's also a time to rest.

Father has a place for you, a cabin in the woods. It's peaceful and warm, comfortable and inviting. You have many friends there. It's time to come home now, to a place designed especially for you.

We pray with Kimberly Dimick's words:

"Your God has seen your low estate and He has heard your cries from on high.

Right in the midst of the taunting of your enemy there is coming a roar and loud cry in the heavens over your lives that will drown out the voice of your enemy. Its reverberations will shake your enemy loose from your lives and cut him off long before he can get to you…

Trust in Me even though I know it feels hard and confusing and the pain overwhelms you at times. KNOW that your cry has moved Me to answer you, for you could have turned away from the Living God and yet, you have clung to ME even more fiercely…

I will help you make decisions. I will give you wisdom and understanding in your dealings. I will give you favor for you are highly favored of ME.

KNOW that like Hannah I have heard the cries for your children. I have seen your offering of tears poured at My throne for the lives of your children. There is coming that day when they will understand the cost you have paid to honor Me with your life. They will look to you as their example of faith and unrelenting trust in Your God and stir their hearts to look for the Ancient Path…and I will take their hand and lead them to the WAY everlasting.

I will laugh at your enemy and bring derision in his camp. When he tries to get you one way I will block him and his plans will come to naught right before your eyes. For it is the Lord who has purposed that His daughters will be free and led to safety. He has arranged a date with each of HIS Beloved that will sweep them off their feet.

God knows and sees that it has been like thick darkness covering over you and hiding His glory. His plans and purposes however, will prevail. Look for the Lord in everything. Look for Him to show up for you in unexpected places. God knows how to send help from His sanctuary right when you need it.

Do not always say, "Lord, it seems like my enemy is winning"…NO! I am setting your enemy up and he will fall into the trap and pit he thought was made for you.

I see everything. I am WITH you. I will come for you and visit you in your dreams. I will speak tenderly to you and in this way you will know it is the Lord. I am interceding for your life with the Father and He HEARS Me. He always hears ME. Because I am in you and you are in Me, your Abba hears you too…

You may think all around you is dead….but that is just what you can see with your human eyes. Some things must die so I can bring new life, a new strength, a new wineskin to pour into…" (Kimberly Dimick's prayer "Help is on the Way")

Abba, thank you for this beautiful princess, tried and true. Please guide her steps and give her strength and courage, on the path that is unknown. For all us walk in the mystery, embracing the glorious unknown. This is the adventure you've called us to, the joy of freedom and abundant life.

Although this word was compiled by the many sisters of DNZ, if any of this resonates with your own heart, please feel free to embrace these words in your own life. Words have the power to create. We can't change the past but we can rewrite our future.

With all my love,

Susan
