Bring My Daughter to Me!

You're Never Alone

By: Kimberly Dimick

This is a time dear heart, I sense that the smallest, even insignificant whispers of the Lord will be reminders to you that you are not alone. It is true that when life is chaotic and every evil thing is unleashed against us that the noise of our enemy feels like it drowns out the voice of God.

We try and hold on but God KNOWS we feel the burning and the sensation of drowning as we go through that fire and through the flood. Even Words of faith and hope can feel cruel. God knows what you NEED. You need someone to just understand that this battle is so fierce you have no strength to care or even expend the smallest amount of energy about anything!

What you need to know is that God IS WITH YOU in the fire and has jumped in the waters with you. He IS your life preserver. He is protecting you by hovering over you the way He hovered over the waters in deep darkness at Creation.

He is ReCREATING you, your situation, your life. He hovers in the darkness and we do not expect God to show up there. THEN, out of nowhere He SPEAKS. He speaks into the darkness and it flees from you.

Light overtakes everything. And we are in AWE.

He comes under the cover of dark clouds because He sneaks up on your enemies. They do not expect God to show up that way either. He utters His voice and they are confused. They fight each other. They destroy each other because they can not see through the darkness. They suddenly leave you alone because they are too busy turning on each other.

There is more than one way for God to fight our battles.

Psalm 18: 8-19……."Smoke went up from His nostrils, And devouring fire from His mouth; Coals were kindled by it. 9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down With darkness under His feet. 10 And He rode upon a cherub, and flew; He flew upon the wings of the wind. 11 He made darkness His secret place; His canopy around Him was dark waters And thick clouds of the skies. 12 From the brightness before Him, His thick clouds passed with hailstones and coals of fire. 13 The Lord thundered from heaven, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire. 14 He sent out His arrows and scattered the foe, Lightnings in abundance, and He vanquished them. 15 Then the channels of the sea were seen, The foundations of the world were uncovered At Your rebuke, O Lord, At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils. 16 He sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters. 17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me, For they were too strong for me. 18 They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my support. 19 He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me."

I have been so overwhelmed at times, I could not even utter a prayer or plea for myself. It was the sweetness of God that sent people TO me to remind me that God's is mindful – His mind was FULL of thoughts toward me, AWARE of the ocean of desperation I was drowning in. Just knowing God got it….just knowing God was NOT disappointed in me or expecting something out of me, (I had no way of giving, anyway, or mustering up from within), knowing that there was no apologies to make, was in and of itself a God-send to me.

To be so loved and told none of that mattered to God relieved my soul of unnecessary burdens. We all hope at the darkest moments of our life that our faith would shine or this strength would come so we could smack some demons around.

I have found that our faith shines AFTER we get to the other side. We our dumbfounded by everything God did to step in and rescue us and save us from what should have taken us out.

God will act on our behalf when we feel we can not think straight or act on our own behalf at all. We are left to His mercies toward us and NOTHING else. We have nothing to offer only crying out and beating our chest. Suddenly, Jesus speaks right in the middle of our mortification, desperation and humiliation……

"Bring my daughter to ME!!"

This is how we find REST. When we give up so utterly and ask nothing but to lay down. When we fall down in a heap, we land in green pastures by some miracle. He MAKES me to lie down.

He is magnifying Himself over you. His heart is swelled up with compassion for you, a fiery passion that moves God to act. It is our human frailty when trauma overwhelms us to go numb and shut down. Yet, there is a purpose in shutting down. God takes over and proves that He is WHO He says He is.

There is no room left for anything you can possibly do anymore sweet daughter of God. It is ALL God. At these times, it is normal to first respond with fear.

We think our ears are dull because of some lack on our part but this is not true. We get scared because we cannot hear anything at all that makes sense. The sounds are muffled and voices garbled so much we cannot discern what is what. The noise and voices in our head confuse us to the point, they neither dissuade or convince us of anything.

We strain to understand but the more intently we try to listen the less we hear. This is because your head is buried in God's chest. He has pulled you in, holding you so close to Himself, that any sounds that startle you are drowned out by His heartbeat.

As He holds you, tighter and tighter…..slowly,….slowly,………you calm down….nothing else matters. He is enlarged above everything and everyone and it is no concern of yours as you can only hear your Papa's beating heart of desire and love for you.

With love and concern,

Kimberly

Once again my ears perked up when I heard Kimberly say, "Bring my daughter to me!" because I heard him say the same to me, in a dream.

He was a prosperous rancher – like the kind of man who owns the whole world, so there is much confidence. He is surrounded by devoted cowboys who do his bidding. He ordered such as those to bring me to him. I was shy, ashamed, and didn't feel worthy.

But I leapt into his arms when I saw he wanted me there. It was a healing moment, even though it was a dream.

When I hear Kimberly's same words I know I heard God's heart – it just reinforces the truth of God's love for us. It's something to hear about this love and to experience it. I praise God for coming to us in dreams, in blog posts, or in the words of a wise friend!
