Belong

A single word,

One odd sentence,

Bends and twists into a paragraph.

More than a million words, now,

Dance between the pages of my diaries.

Although the pages of my past will soon be dust,

Yellowed by time and age,

My life story will always be conveyed,

Through the sap of my children's legacy.

Therefore, I will not be afraid

To sacrifice the words of my past,

To rewrite a new beginning.

Life is lived in the unknowing,

This is where I belong,

Trusting and unafraid.
